900 German Santas run for Christmas
The Michendorf fun run, the biggest costumed running event in Germany, attracted more than 900 participants, according to the event’s organisers. To overcome the chilly conditions for the marathon, participants wore red jackets, caps, and some even had bushy white beards strapped to their faces. The distance options for runners were 1.5 miles, 3 miles, or 6.5 miles. After finishing their runs, they were given mulled wine and chocolate Santas.
